Village Arts in Invermere offers
fine contemporary and traditional craft in clay, glass, fibre,
wood metal and mixed media. Over 50 regional artisans are
featured in the Village Arts store. Several distinct potters
create in earthenware, porcelain and Raku. Numerous woodworkers
handcraft our forest into everything from salad servers
to rustic willow chairs. Exquisite jewellery from lamp worked
glass, fused glass or local gems set into sterling silver
rings, earring and pendants. Wearable art in the form of
vests, bags and jackets, hand weaving. Home décor
crafts include metal work, blown glass, candles, Victorian
lampshades or unique hand woven cushions. Mixed media includes paintings, sculptures, gold work, soap, and photography.
All work is selected through a jury process and is made
by members of Village Arts. Our members are a diverse
group including internationally known artisans, mid-career
artisans and emerging artisans from British Columbia and
Alberta.
