ARTISANS
Village Arts in Invermere offers fine contemporary and traditional artwork and craft in ceramics, clay, glass, fibre, metal, print and a variety of mixed media. Currently, forty five regional artisans are featured in the Village Arts store. Several distinct potters create in earthenware, porcelain and Raku. Numerous photographers capture and highlight our beautiful valley while other talented members create unique wearable art out of beautiful silks and gorgeous fabrics. Our jewelers offer exquisite pieces made from lampworking, fused glass, bronze and ceramic. Home décor items include throw pillows, metal work, blown glass, candle holders, carved sculptures and fine pewter work. We have hand knit toys and baby essentials such as teething rings, bibs and blankets. Essential oils, natural soaps and delicious preserves round out this group of talented artists.
All work is selected through a jury process and is made by members of Village Arts. Our members are a diverse group including internationally known artisans, mid-career artisans and emerging artisans from across Canada.
